/Mix/ DZA - For the Ride Home
I recorded a short mix last night to listen to whenever I need to ride somewhere. It's 28:00 of mellow, deep house music that I'm loving right now with a little bit of disco thrown in because, well... I felt like it. Nyaaaaaaaaah!!! /Event/ M.A.N.D.Y. Returns to Philly TONIGHT!!!
If you weren't at Snacks for the Get Physical tour the last time M.A.N.D.Y. was here, then you better get your ass down to Woody's tonight. They loved Philly so much that they called the Philadelphia date of the tour one of the best.
Snacks residents Dave P. & Adam Sparkles will be setting the tone for the evening. Expect a healthy does of techy bits & spacy blips with some hands-in-the-air moments thrown in for good measure.

Philadelphia House Music Events For the Weekend of October 17th, 2008
Friday
If you're going to be east of Broad St., then check out my main man Bryon Stout from Sundae playing deep house & cosmic disco at Bump in the Gayborhood (13th & Locust Street) from 5-10pm. Meanwhile, over in Rittenhouse Square, join Ali Mahmud & Jacob Henry as they host their second of their European influenced Sunset Fridays happy hour party at the trendy Vango Skybar & Lounge.
Later in the evening, Jeff Heart & Freedom of Wiggle Productions host their Hard & Soul event at Liberty Bar with special guest DJs Chris Udoh (Tigerhook Corp., Wamdue Kids) & Rhenalt (Afro Acid Digital, Funkatronik). In Chinatown, techno.thug's free Futurism event will be featuring DZA from Stakeout Music & Jack to the Future dropping a special techno set at Liquid Charm alongside resident techno tramps Dan Trevitt & justjeremy. It's also Mike Tee's last night at Robotique at Medusa Lounge with Billy W. before he goes back to Detroit, so get over there and send him off at their seminal disco/house monthly.
If you're still going after all of that, Miami house music legend Oscar G. from Space Miami will be playing a special late night set at Old City's only afterhours spot, Lounge125. They're offering free admission before midnight with this free pass.
Saturday
DJ Venus 7 keeps the old city crowd going at Prive with her sexual mix of deep house & afro-brazilian music. If this picture is any indicator, you're going to be in for a fun night with a nice sized crowd.
Sunday
Lee Jones & DJ Dirty turn up the heat during the day at Sundae at the Bubble House. They're going to be moving to their new winter venue starting on November 2nd, so get out there and enjoy partying in the sun while you still can! Trust me, you're going to have a great time. After that, Deep C., DJ Niko, & Christian James, take your sunday night even deeper at Vango with their Fallout weekly. Over at the Liberty Bar, Rudy Kardos & Berndogg drop deep house and detroit techno with guest DJ DZA playing a sexy deep house set.
